The young New York-born Chilean presents her first album, ‘Sueños de Dalí’

It all started three years ago with a video filmed in her aunt’s garage and uploaded onto YouTube.  C. Tangana was seduced by the song Not Steady, shared it on his networks and in no time Paloma Mami was signed on with Sony Music Latin.  “For me it was something that happened so fast, I don’t even know how.  I was young and didn’t understand anything,” she explained while in Chile promoting her first album, Sueños de Dalí.

The title of the record, with its reference to the Catalan artist, was not by chance:

“I love art and ever since I was a child I admired Dalí.  Everything he created was like a dream to me.  I believe that when people dream, that’s when the craziest ideas come to mind and that is why I chose this name for my album,” she explains and then continues to reflect that “Dalí painted what he painted while awake and reached a point of hallucination in that state.  I can’t imagine how his dreams must have been if he saw life that way while awake.”
