  • The annual meeting contributes to strengthening relations between the institutions responsible for managing the brand of their respective countries or cities.

The latest edition of the Ibero-American Country Brands Preforum will be held in Santiago between March 1 and 4. This annual event brings together country and destination brands from Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula, in order to strengthen the links between its members through the exchange of experiences in place branding management.

Chile will host this international meeting for the first time. One of its key objectives will be to set the venue for the IX Ibero-American Country Brands Forum, which is to be held during the course of this year, as well as the ratification of new members. Among them, the incorporation of Barcelona will be confirmed, making it the first city brand to join the Ibero-American Council of Nation Brands.

“It is a tremendous honor for Imagen de Chile to host the Ibero-American Country Brands Preforum. Sharing experiences allows all members to improve our work and strategies on the management of the nation brand,” stated Constanza Cea, Imagen de Chile Executive Director. “Our goal at Imagen de Chile is for the Chile brand to become better known and valued around the world. This translates into better opportunities, which, in turn, improve the quality of life for all Chileans.”

The Ibero-American Council of Nation Brands is currently made up of 17 members: Andorra, Argentina, Barcelona, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay. Some representatives of the member countries will travel to Chile to attend the event in person, while others will participate online
