The visit to the region – the northern gateway to Chile – included meetings with government officials and trade associations. Its objective was to promote the campaigns being spearheaded by the institution and to encourage businesses from the region to use the Marca Chile logo on their products and services.

Imagen de Chile Executive Director Constanza Cea visited the city of Arica, inviting businesses and organizations to join the Marca Chile Brand Use Program, an initiative promoted by the institution to proudly showcase the Chilean origin of products and services.

During her visit, Imagen de Chile’s Executive Director met with regional officials such as Arica and Parinacota Governor Jorge Díaz and Presidential Delegate Roberto Erpel. They discussed the execution of the “Chile Creating Future” country image strategy and she encouraged them to seek out opportunities to boost Chile’s country brand, such as the UNESCO World Heritage Status that was recently granted to the Chinchorro settlements.

Constanza Cea also met with the President of the Arica Chamber of Commerce, Aldo González, and ProChile Arica Director Gloria Collao to identify opportunities for collaborating on efforts to expand the use of the Marca Chile brand in the region.

“Imagen de Chile wants to encourage more and more stakeholders to promote and use the Marca Chile logo. Today the Arica and Parinacota Region is taking part in creating future from a commercial, migratory and cultural perspective, with the recent declaration of the Chinchorro mummies as a UNESCO World Heritage Site,” remarked Imagen de Chile Executive Director Constanza Cea.

“Our institution is seeking to boost from the regions everything Chile has to offer the world, getting more organizations and individuals involved, who will allow us to showcase our talent, innovation and products. These are all important examples of how Chile is creating future,” she added.
