Chilean entrepreneurs Enzo García and Tomás Acuña won the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) award with a project that prevents economic losses in water desalination by predicting coastal pollution up to two weeks in advance.
Both participated in the prestigious international competition 'MIT Water Innovation Prize' on water sustainability with their venture 'Bloom Alert', winning the $35,000 prize for emerging entrepreneurs who develop innovative solutions for the water industry.
